Icing on the Cake

Hap I would like to just share a few notes...

Back in 2001 I purchased John Juranitch's Ultimate Kit, which included his Razor Edge Book of Sharpening. I just couldn't, at the time, get the hang of things, so I purchased an Edge Pro Professional kit with all the bells and whistles. I still have it and I get incredible results with it. But I still wanted to have the freedom to be able to sharpen freehand and do so competently.

In December of 2020, over the Christmas holidays, I took another stab at learning to freehand sharpen. After LOTS of practice since then and watching YouTube videos, including, most helpfully, the early ones that Murray did and then later the ones where you two collaborated, I find that I'm able now to sharpen anything and get great results. I've not used my Edge Pro system in over a year. Haven't needed to.

Having the absolute state-of-the-art sharpening equipment from you -- many thanks -- really is the proverbial "icing on the cake." I wish you great success with these fine products and look forward to seeing your future endeavors.
