Diamond resin plates for NANO RASP and Edge Pro style jigs. The honeycomb matrix is an original design by Hap Stanley. This resin is much softer than anything else on the market. Which allows the surface of the plates to be maintained more easily. This binder is environmentally friendly, slightly hydrophilic, and very tough. Sharpening can be done completely dry or with a few drops of water. We also recommend a light coating of a very light oil like camellia oil on the surface of the plates from time to time. This evens out the scratches and improves the polish.  We also recommend finishing at each grit with stropping (trailing edge) strokes. This really evens out the scratches. Working with this abrasive is different from traditional water stones and formaldehyde based resins. it requires a lot less pressure than those mediums.

Grit size : 1, 3, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 micron sizes

Dimension : 1" X 6"

Abrasives : Monocrystalline diamond

Machined Anodized Aluminum backing plate attached

Adding bite to the edge 🤓

Received the 1x6 Diamond Resin 25 um plate this weekend. It provides an edge with bite that is uniform and yet still able to slice free hanging 2 ply paper towels! 😉 Highly recommended for EDC pocket knife and kitchen cutlery maintenance. The blade steels touched up this weekend included A2, CPM110, M390MK, a 35 year old Victorinox pocket knife, and assorted kitchen knives. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Pete,
Thank you again for your great review. We're very happy to hear your awesome result from our diamond resins. We will continue to make more unusual products in our factory. Stay tuned ;)

Diamond resin plates have an extraordinary bite!

I’ve been using the Edge Pro Professional system to sharpen kitchen knives since 2002, and have gradually upgraded the stones over the years. Eventually, I was using a full set of Shapton waterstones on both the Edge Pro, and as full-size GlassStones to sharpen chisels and planes. I recently began using some of the Nano Hone diamond resin plates on the Edge Pro, and they are a revelation. The “feel” is unusual — a little slippery in comparison to a waterstone — but the diamonds have an extraordinary bite, and the efficiency with which they bring a fresh edge to a very hard steel like a Takeda blade in Aogami Super is fantastic. These are a most welcome addition to the sharpening kit!

Christopher,
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are very happy to hear that our diamond resin products meet your expectations. They are new in the market so, please let us know anything to improve more! We have all ears ;)
